Message, share photos, or video chat with a doctor or therapist. Find out if you need to make a trip to the ER or urgent care before you go, or simply ask questions about everyday health needs. Talk to a therapist if you suffer from depression or anxiety, have relationship problems, struggle with drug or alcohol use or experience a traumatic event.
Doctors are available on CareNow every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. MDT. Therapists are available Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MDT. Have your Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid program) ID number available to register and get the answers you need, when you need them.

What is CareNow?
CareNow from EasyCare Colorado is a no-cost, chat-based program that allows you to message, send photos, or video chat with a doctor or therapist. It’s available for RMHP regional organization, Prime, and CHP+ Members. If you have a medical question or aren’t sure if you should go to the urgent care or emergency room, or if you need to talk to someone but can’t wait for an appointment, you can use CareNow — saving you time and money.
When should I use CareNow?
You can use CareNow when you:
Feel sick or injured, but it’s not a life-threatening issue
Have a minor injury
Have general medical questions or want peace of mind
Struggle with depression or anxiety
Suffer a traumatic event
Need help with drug and alcohol use
Have relationship, including marital or parent-child
Remember, if you’re having a life-threatening emergency, dial 911.
When and where is CareNow available?
CareNow is available from anywhere you can access the internet. Doctors are available every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. MDT. Therapists are available Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MDT
How do I register for CareNow?
First, you will need to access the EasyCare Colorado app or web page. This will require a computer or mobile device with a high-speed Internet connection.
You can download the EasyCare Colorado app for your iOS mobile device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) from the Apple App Store or download the app for your Android mobile device from the Google Play Store by searching for “EasyCareCO.” You can also access EasyCare Colorado through your computer (Google Chrome or Firefox recommended). To video chat, your computer will need a webcam and microphone.
Then, you will need to register for CareNow. To do this, you will need to create a separate account by registering here and filling out the registration form. When you complete the registration form, you will receive an email with instructions about how to finish setting up your account. After you set up your account, you’ll immediately be able to start chatting with a doctor from the app or webpage. You will need your date of birth, email address, and Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) ID number to register.
Here’s how you can find your Health First Colorado ID number:
View your Health First Colorado ID card from the PEAKHealth mobile app or at colorado.gov/PEAK and look for your Member ID #.
Find a letter from Health First Colorado about your benefits.
Call or visit your county Department of Human Services.
If you are enrolled in RMHP Prime or CHP+, you can also find your Health First Colorado ID number on your RMHP Member ID card. Look for the number called State ID Number.
What technology do I need to use CareNow?
From a mobile device:
An iOS device (iPhone 5s/iPad 4th generation) with the latest operating system updated (iOS 10+) and the EasyCare Colorado iOS app installed.
An Android device (less than 2 years old) with at least Lollipop 5.1+ and the EasyCare Colorado app installed.
From a computer:
Desktop or laptop computer (ideally less than three years old)
PC operating system: Windows 7+; Apple operating system: OSX 10.6+
Desktop web browser: preferably Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox
Webcam (most computers have a built-in webcam)
Microphone (most computers have a built-in microphone)
High-speed internet connection of at least 3.0 Mbps download / 1.0 Mbps upload
Can my spouse or children use CareNow?
If your spouse or child(ren) over 18 is interested in using CareNow and is an RMHP regional organization, Prime, or CHP+ Member, they will need to create their own account using their unique Health First Colorado ID number. A parent or legal guardian can create an account for minor children under age 18 who are RMHP regional organization, Prime, or CHP+ Members. Any care provided to minors through the CareNow program will require direct participation of a parent or legal guardian.
Is there a record of my CareNow visit?
Yes, EasyCare Colorado maintains a complete record of your online visits, which are available for you to review at your convenience.
Do doctors/therapists have access to my health information?
When you register for CareNow, you will have the option to fill out your basic medical history, just like you would for a regular office visit. The doctors or therapists with whom you chat will have access to this information.
Who are the CareNow doctors?
CareNow doctors are physicians within the dedicated CirrusMD Provider Network. These doctors specialize in emergency care and are licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
Who are the CareNow therapists?
Therapists who work with CareNow are part of Heart-Centered Counseling, a group of more than 150 therapists and counselors throughout Colorado. They’re committed to helping you find a new way to get the help you need, especially those who live in rural areas or are unable to travel due to medical reasons or child care.
Who is CirrusMD?
CirrusMD’s technology and provider network power the CareNow program within the EasyCare Colorado platform. RMHP has partnered with CirrusMD to offer CareNow exclusively for RMHP regional organization, Prime, or CHP+ Members.
Is CareNow safe and private?
Yes, CareNow is HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliant, so your information is both safe and private.
